Veterinary Assistant
About the role
College Hills Veterinary Hospital is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our compassionate team. This is a hands-on role where you'll make a meaningful impact in the lives of pets and their families every day.
Responsibilities
- Absorbing an active role in assisting veterinarians during exams, treatments, surgical procedures, and dentistry
- Maintaining accurate medical records and treatment documentation
- Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
- Building positive client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service
- Maintaining clean, organized, and fully prepared exam rooms, treatment areas, and procedural spaces
Requirements
- 1+ years of veterinary assistant, animal care, kennel, or related role preferred
- Proficiency in assisting with exams, treatments, and outpatient procedures
- Career-oriented communication with clients and team members
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
- Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and restrain patients safely throughout the workday
- Familiarity with Avimark is a plus!

Pay
Compensation: $14-$15 per hour, for each hour worked
Schedule
This is a part-time position, with flexible scheduling options and availability needed weekdays (minimum 3 shifts/week). NO WEEKENDS!
