About Broadway Veterinary Clinic
Broadway Veterinary Clinic has been serving the Bangor, Maine area since 1980, when Dr. J.A. Benson acquired Elliot Animal Hospital and gave the facility a new name. In 2002, our modern facility was built in its current location, designed to provide cutting-edge technology and maximum comfort to our clients. Today, we have four veterinarians and more than twenty staff members to carry on our legacy of excellent care.

Pay
$20.00-$24.00 per hour, based on the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.
Schedule
Monday-Friday, 10-hour shifts, 4 days a week, with rotational Saturdays and late nights.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians and vet techs during examinations, treatments, and surgeries
- Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately
- Prepare examination rooms and surgical areas by cleaning and sterilizing equipment and surfaces
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as collecting blood, urine, and stool samples
- Administer medications and vaccinations under the supervision of a veterinarian
- Feed, bathe, and exercise animals as needed
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Communicate with pet owners about their pets’ care, treatment plans, and follow-up visits
- Clean and maintain the clinic, including stocking supplies and ensuring a safe and sanitary environment
Requirements
- At least 1 year of veterinary experience is required
- Technical know-how in areas such as disinfection, administering medication, and using diagnostic equipment
- Physical ability to handle animals safely and compassionately
