Veterinary Assistant

Orchard Veterinary Hospital is a two-and-a-half-doctor small-animal practice with a newly renovated facility featuring five exam rooms, a full laboratory, digital x-ray, dental, and surgery suites. Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during exams and procedures with confidence and care
• Provide gentle, effective animal restraint and help keep patients calm and safe
• Support our doctors and technicians by preparing and maintaining exam rooms and treatment areas
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients to ensure they feel informed and supported
• Perform lab work, pharmacy duties, and sample collection as needed
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure equipment is cleaned and ready for use
• Deliver excellent customer service while helping our team run smoothly and efficiently
• Embrace the occasional “cat rodeo” with safe, skilled handling
• Celebrate the moments that matter—birthdays, babies, anniversaries

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant preferred
• Strong animal-handling and communication skills
• A team-player attitude and the ability to stay calm under pressure

Schedule

• Full-time
• Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
• No nights, weekends, or holidays

Pay

$19.00–$21.00 per hour, based on experience
