Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and licensed technicians during examinations, treatments, and procedures
• Safely restrain patients using compassionate, low-stress handling techniques
• Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
• Perform venipuncture, laboratory sample collection, and other technical procedures appropriate to your experience
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation
• Educate clients on medications, preventive care, and discharge instructions
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient hospital environment
• Collaborate with teammates to provide exceptional patient care every day

Requirements

• Previous experience as a veterinary technician assistant
• Strong patient handling and restraint skills
• Excellent communication and client service abilities
• Positive attitude and team-first mindset
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced veterinary environment
• Compassion for patients, clients, and coworkers
• Genuine passion for veterinary medicine and continued learning

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current certification as a Veterinary Technician Assistant (VTA) or equivalent
• Current CPR certification

Salary is negotiable and based on experience.

Schedule

Four days per week - must include a rotation of every other weekend (Sat and Sun)
