Hampstead Animal Hospital is Hiring an Experienced Technician Assistant!
About the role

Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians and licensed technicians during examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Safely restrain patients using compassionate, low-stress handling techniques
- Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
- Perform venipuncture, laboratory sample collection, and other technical procedures appropriate to your experience
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation
- Educate clients on medications, preventive care, and discharge instructions
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient hospital environment
- Collaborate with teammates to provide exceptional patient care every day
Requirements
- Previous experience as a veterinary technician assistant
- Strong patient handling and restraint skills
- Excellent communication and client service abilities
- Positive attitude and team-first mindset
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced veterinary environment
- Compassion for patients, clients, and coworkers
- Genuine passion for veterinary medicine and continued learning
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current certification as a Veterinary Technician Assistant (VTA) or equivalent
- Current CPR certification

Salary is negotiable and based on experience.
Schedule
Four days per week - must include a rotation of every other weekend (Sat and Sun)
