Veterinary Assistant

VCA Associates in Pet Care Animal Hospital is a trusted 2-doctor practice serving pets and families in the community with personalized veterinary care. From routine wellness visits to surgery and dental care, we focus on building lasting relationships with our clients while creating a supportive and collaborative workplace for our team.

Responsibilities

• Restrain and safely handle pets for exams and treatments
• Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas
• Auxiliary doctors and technicians with appointments and procedures
• Collect patient histories and support client communication
• Feed, walk, and monitor hospitalized pets
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the hospital
• Sterilize instruments and prepare surgical packs
• Auxiliary with laboratory samples and diagnostics
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Deliver compassionate care to patients and clients every day

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in veterinary settings preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Qualifications

• Passing a background check
• Current CPR certification

Pay

Pay range is negotiable based on experience, education, skills, and credentials.

Schedule

Full-time opportunity with rotating Saturdays. Not looking for full-time? We are happy to discuss part-time flexible scheduling.
