Veterinary Assistant

About the role

VCA Baring Blvd Animal Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join their team in Sparks, NV. This full-time position offers a pay range of $16.50 - $20.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Restraining and assisting in patient exams and routine procedures.
• Taking detailed medical histories and patient vitals.
• Filling prescriptions (as allowed by law).
• Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
• Maintaining medical records.
• Assisting the Doctor and Technician teams as needed.
• Maintaining a clean, safe hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a veterinary setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills.
