About the role
Crestwood Animal Hospital is seeking a Full-Time Veterinary Assistant to join our dedicated team in Crestwood, KY, just outside of Louisville.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians and technicians in providing medical treatments, diagnostics, and procedures
- Safely handle and restrain animals during examinations and procedures
- Maintain accurate medical records and assist with client communication
- Provide compassionate care and support to clients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment and patient areas
- Continually advance your knowledge base and skill set
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a veterinary or animal care setting, preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- A positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent patient care
- Able to work well in a team and handle stressful situations in a calm manner
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-changing environment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current certification from a recognized veterinary assistant program (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office

Pay
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour, depending on experience

4-day workweek, no overnight shifts, no Sunday hours
