Veterinary Assistant - Advance Imaging

Responsibilities

• Aiding with outpatient and inpatient care under the supervision of veterinarians
• Supporting advanced diagnostic procedures such as placing IV catheters, performing venipuncture, running in-house lab work, and administering medications
• Maintaining patients during and after procedures, including recovery from sedation or anesthesia
• Recording accurate medical records and treatment logs
• Communicating clearly and compassionately with clients about patient care, discharge instructions, and follow-up
• Ensuring a clean, organized, and well-stocked work environment
• Collaborating effectively with doctors, technicians, and support staff across different departments

Qualifications

• Completion of VASPC (Veterinary Assistant State Practice Certificate)
• At least 1-2 years of experience in veterinary practice
• Previous experience in a specialty practice or advanced imaging (MRI, CT, US) is preferred, but not required
• Strong communication skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Confidence in handling and restraining both dogs and cats, including those with medical complexity
• A team-oriented attitude with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Flexibility to work full-time, available for weekday shifts and occasional holiday coverage

Pay

$20 - $25/hour
