Veterinary Anatomic Pathologist
About the role
The successful candidate will represent pathology-related outcomes to global health authorities to support clinical trials and marketing authorizations. A key expectation will be to identify and resolve pathology and toxicology issues affecting the discovery and development of pharmaceuticals. The role involves frequent interactions with external business partners, particularly as a pathology peer reviewer.
Responsibilities
- Design, conduct, interpret, and peer review the pathology-related aspects of nonclinical studies.
- Provide scientific leadership in interpreting toxicity and pharmacologic effects caused by drugs.
- Represent pathology-related outcomes to global health authorities to support clinical trials and marketing authorizations.
- Identify and resolve pathology and toxicology issues affecting the discovery and development of pharmaceuticals.
- Work collaboratively in cross-functional drug discovery and development teams within Lilly and with Lilly’s external partners.
- Interact with external business partners, particularly as a pathology peer reviewer.
Requirements
- DVM or equivalent degree and certification by the American College of Veterinary Pathologists (ACVP) (Anatomic Pathology)
- Ph.D. in a related field of science
- 2 years of experience in evaluating, interpreting, and reporting GLP and non-GLP pathology data from nonclinical toxicity studies

Pay
The anticipated wage for this position is $169,500 - $312,400
Schedule
Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
