Position Summary
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, in conjunction with Rutgers Health, invites applications for a faculty position in Surgical Pathology and Cytopathology within the Division of Anatomic Pathology.
Responsibilities
- Provide surgical pathology and cytopathology services at RWJUH in New Brunswick, NJ
- Consult with clinical staff across a wide range of specialties
- Teach medical students, residents, and clinical fellows within the Department
- Participate in autopsy service responsibilities
- Engage in scholarly research activities
- Become proficient in an area such as pediatric pathology, bone and soft tissue pathology, breast pathology, thoracic pathology, gynecologic pathology, etc.
Requirements
- MD, DO, or MBBS degree required
- Active medical license in the State of New Jersey
- Board certification or board eligibility in AP/CP or AP and Cytopathology required
- Fellowship training in Surgical Pathology and/or Cytopathology required
Opportunity
The successful candidate will be a member of the Surgical Pathology and Cytopathology teams, consulting with clinical staff, and actively participating in the educational programs of the Department, which include teaching medical students, residents, and clinical fellows. The candidate will also be expected to engage in productive research activities. In addition, participation in the autopsy service will be required.
