About the role

We are seeking a full-time veterinarian to join our team as the Chief of Staff at Northern Michigan Veterinary Hospital. This position is ideal for experienced veterinarians interested in leading a dynamic and collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the veterinary team in providing high-quality care to our patients and clients
• Assist in the development and implementation of hospital policies and procedures
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care
• Provide mentorship and guidance to veterinary technicians and assistants
• Participate in hospital management meetings and strategic planning sessions

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience
• Current license to practice veterinary medicine in Michigan
• Experience in leadership and team management
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
• Passing scores on the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE)
• Knowledge of exotic animal care and treatment
