About the role

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care for small animal patients
- Participate in surgical procedures under the supervision of senior veterinarians
- Administer medications and monitor patient recovery
- Perform dental procedures as needed
- Document patient care in electronic health records
- Communicate effectively with clients about their pets' health and treatment plans
- Contribute to a positive team culture and maintain a supportive work environment
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA accredited institution
- Current license to practice veterinary medicine in Alabama
- Experience in small animal medicine and surgery preferred but not required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passing scores on the AVMA core exams or equivalent
