About the role
Ohana Pet Hospital is searching for an experienced veterinarian to lead our team as Medical Director. This role focuses on our Agoura Hills team and is a full-time position with flexible scheduling (Monday-Saturday, ideally four days each week).
Responsibilities
- Lead the medical team and ensure high-quality patient care.
- Develop and implement hospital policies and procedures.
- Provide mentorship and support to junior veterinarians and technicians.
- Collaborate with the hospital’s rehabilitation, acupuncture, and holistic medicine services.
- Participate in client education and outreach initiatives.
- Support local animal rescue organizations.
- Ensure the hospital adheres to environmental sustainability practices.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of general practice and/or emergency receiving experience.
- DVM or VMD degree.
- A valid California veterinary license and ability to obtain a DEA license.
- Exceptional leadership skills, especially in a medical director role.
- Excellent client communication and customer service skills.
- A strong commitment to lifelong learning and staying updated with the latest industry developments.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of veterinarian experience.
- DVM or VMD degree.
- A valid California veterinary license and ability to obtain a DEA license.

Pay
The salary range for this opportunity is $150,000 - $200,000 annually. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
