Veterinarian Internal Medicine Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Internist to help grow and expand internal medicine services at BluePearl Pet Hospital Savannah.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team of specialists to provide comprehensive patient care
• Conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations and develop treatment plans
• Mentor and train veterinary students and interns
• Participate in case conferences and contribute to the development of clinical protocols
• Provide consultative services to referring veterinarians
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in veterinary medicine

Requirements

• Current AVMA accreditation or equivalent certification
• Experience in internal medicine preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA-accredited institution
• Completion of a recognized internship program
• Passing scores on the AVMA core exams
