Veterinarian – General Practice

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic DVM to join our dynamic team at Newport Animal Hospital. Located along the beautiful southeastern Rhode Island coast, our practice serves communities with a team of 8 DVMs and 60 support staff.

Responsibilities

• Tailor patient care plans based on medical needs
• Perform routine and complex medical procedures
• Conduct dental and oral surgeries
• Manage a busy inpatient wing with state-of-the-art equipment
• Collaborate with a board-certified cardiologist and internal medicine specialist
• Participate in continuing education and mentorship programs
• Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues

Requirements

• Current Massachusetts license
• Experience in small animal medicine and surgery
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree
• Passing scores on the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE)
• Strong clinical skills and a passion for veterinary medicine

Pay

Base salary of $120k - $150k (dependent on experience)
