About the role

We are seeking an Equine Veterinarian to join our growing team, working primarily at Delaware Park Racetrack with opportunities throughout the Mid-Atlantic racing circuit. We are looking for either an experienced racetrack veterinarian or an internship-trained veterinarian seeking strong mentorship, collaborative medicine, and long-term career growth in Thoroughbred racing.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care to Thoroughbred racehorses
• Participate in a shared emergency/on-call rotation with triage support
• Collaborate with other veterinarians and support staff
• Grow in sports medicine, lameness, imaging, and ambulatory practice

Requirements

• Current license to practice veterinary medicine in New Jersey
• Experience in equine medicine preferred, but not required for internships
• Strong mentorship and collaborative medicine skills
• Flexible schedule and ability to rotate weekends

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
• Knowledge of equine anatomy and physiology
• Experience with equine lameness and imaging techniques
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proficiency in equine medicine and surgery
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks

Pay

The expected salary range for this position is $100,000 - $150,000 per year, plus production bonus-eligible based on collections and eligibility criteria. The final compensation offered may vary based on factors including experience, education, certifications, skills, geographic location, and internal equity considerations.

Schedule

Seasonal flexible schedule, rotating weekends, and a shared emergency/on-call rotation with triage support.
