About the role
Calusa Veterinary Center is hiring a full-time Medical Director to provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care to cats and dogs. We are looking for someone to lead, grow, and help shape the future of a well-established, community-trusted hospital.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care to cats and dogs
- Lead, grow, and help shape the future of the hospital
- Motivated by high-quality medicine, team leadership, or the dream of owning your own hospital
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD degree from an accredited institution
- Valid veterinary license in the state of Florida
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience
- Interest in leadership, mentorship, and practice growth
Qualifications
- Experience in emergency medicine preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Schedule
A schedule that respects your time with flexible options tailored to your availability
Pay
- Salary: $200,000 to $250,000 base + production
- Additional: Sign-on bonus packages available
- Medical Director Stipend: To be determined based on experience and DVM team
