Veterinarian: Director of Theriogenology (Reproduction)
About the role
The Centerville Veterinary Hospitals are well-appointed with high-end equipment, separate small and large animal lodging, medical, surgical facilities, 111 oversized stalls, round pens, large pastures, and ample riding areas over 94 acres. An on-site laboratory provides stat results on Coggins (EIA) testing, hematology, chemistries, urinalyses, and cytologies. Additionally, through the use of Smart microscope systems and advanced imaging techniques, including sonography, endoscopy, and digital radiography, timely answers are provided when needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive veterinary care to a diverse range of patients, including horses, cattle, and small animals.
- Perform routine check-ups, vaccinations, and other preventative healthcare measures.
- Conduct specialized procedures such as spays, neuters, and other surgical interventions.
- Manage client communication and maintain accurate records of patient care.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure the highest quality of care for all patients.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities to stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine.
Requirements
- A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA accredited institution.
- Current license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Texas.
- Experience in equine and/or small animal medicine preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
