Location: Memphis, TN (Nonconnah Corporate Center, Shelby County). A Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) screening will be conducted prior to employment.
Pay
$3,631.00 monthly ($43,572.00 annually).
Schedule
Full-Time.
Qualifications
- Minimum one year of full-time college credit from an accredited institution.
- Substitution: Military Pay Grade of E-4 or above with honorable discharge.
- Possess a valid motor vehicle operator license.
- Must be accredited by the General Counsel of the Veterans’ Administration within 12 months of employment.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate Veterans Administration determinations for compliance and initiate additional action as needed.
- Conduct interviews/assessments of claimants to determine eligibility and compensation consideration based on era of service, duty locations, and military professions.
- Review documents such as DD214s, medical records, personnel files, and other relevant materials.
- Create and submit claims packages for adjudication.
- File claims for benefits and services, maintain accurate recordkeeping, and provide follow-up on claims to their conclusion.
- Interpret Veterans Administration decisions and determinations to claimants.
- Provide guidance to claimants on available options in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Communicate with the public and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Participate in all training events as directed by the department to maintain State and Federal credentials.
- Travel to assigned counties on a regular basis to inform and assist veterans and dependents concerning entitled benefits at approved outreach events.
