Veterans Service Driver

Responsibilities

• Transport veterans, dependents, and caregivers to various VA Medical Centers for medical care.
• Pick-up and drop-off veterans at the Veterans Service Office.
• Phone clients to verify appointments and inform them of pick-up times.
• Fuel the van after each trip to ensure readiness for the next driver.

Requirements

• Valid Ohio driver’s license and insurance.
• A safe and offense-free driving record for at least one year.
• Physical capability to assist older, often handicapped veterans.

Qualifications

• Honorably discharged veteran.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Ohio driving laws and regulations.
• Ability to read and understand maps, directions, and signs.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Ability to operate a cell phone.
