Position Details
Location: Ocean County, NJ
Employment Type: Part-Time
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Morning Route: Approximately 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM
Afternoon Route: Approximately 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM
Approximately 20 hours per week
Hours vary based on completion of assigned transportation routes
Pay: Starting at $20.70 per hour
Bi-weekly pay schedule

Safeguarding Trips
- Safely transport individuals to and from their homes, agency programs, and other approved locations using agency vehicles
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to help ensure vehicles remain safe, clean, and operating properly
- Maintain vehicles in accordance with agency policies and manufacturer recommendations
- Complete transportation logs, mileage reports, attendance records, and other required documentation accurately and on time
- Submit receipts and required transportation records to the appropriate supervisor
- Communicate schedule changes, vehicle concerns, accidents, or transportation issues promptly
- Provide courteous, respectful, and professional service while promoting a safe and welcoming environment for all passengers
- Serve as a positive role model and advocate for individuals receiving services
- Maintain compliance with all motor vehicle laws, agency policies, and transportation safety procedures
- Cooperate with agency leadership and regulatory agencies during inspections, audits, or investigations
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid New Jersey driver's license in good standing with no more than five (5) points
- Demonstrated employment stability, including at least one (1) year with a previous employer
- Strong communication, professionalism, and customer service skills
- Able to safely operate agency vehicles while maintaining a strong commitment to passenger safety
- Able to work independently while demonstrating sound judgment and reliability
- Must successfully complete all required background screenings, including Criminal History, Central Registry, CARI, and applicable drug testing requirements
- Must complete required Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) pre-service training and maintain CPR/First Aid certification as required by the agency
