Veterans Home Building Maintenance Worker - 36293

About the role

This position works eight-hour shifts daily from Sunday through Thursday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. This position performs semi-skilled building maintenance tasks as assigned in areas such as boiler operation and maintenance, rough carpentry, painting, cleaning, and general maintenance to assist in the maintenance, repair, and operating needs of the facility. Occasional transports of residents to and from medical appointments.

Responsibilities

• Operate boilers and perform boiler maintenance
• Perform rough carpentry tasks
• Paint and clean facilities
• Assist with general maintenance tasks
• Occasionally transport residents to medical appointments

Requirements

• Valid South Dakota driver's license required
• Experience in operating boilers, boiler maintenance, building/property maintenance, and general maintenance knowledge and skills are preferred

Pay

• $17.78 to $21.00 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule
