About the role
The Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs (KDVA) is seeking a Veterans Benefits Representative I to work in Jefferson County.
Responsibilities
- Counsel veterans and their families on various benefits programs.
- Initiate claim preparation for service-connected benefits.
- Coordinate with local government officials and media.
- Act as an advocate on behalf of Kentucky's veterans and their dependents.
Requirements
- Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
- One year of experience in administration, military affairs, or veterans' benefits counseling.
- A master's degree may substitute for the required experience.
- Substitute administrative experience for the bachelor's degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.
- Maintain a valid driver's license.
- Maintain required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials.

Benefits
Full-time employment with eligibility for overtime pay.
Pay
$3,174.44 monthly.
Schedule
18A, 40.0 hours per week.
