Vet Technician, Non-Credentialed or Credentialed

About the role

Emergency Veterinary Services is a well-equipped small animal emergency hospital located in Lisle, IL. We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys teamwork, and takes pride in delivering exceptional patient care. Both credentialed and non-credentialed technicians are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hospital cleanliness and organization
• Communicate with referring veterinarians as needed
• Assist with occasional reception duties
• Support the team with additional duties as assigned
• Monitor and provide treatments for hospitalized patients
• Perform in-house laboratory testing
• Auxiliary with surgical procedures
• Monitor anesthesia during procedures
• Place IV catheters and perform blood draws
• Take and position radiographs
• Safely restrain patients for procedures and exams
• Provide client communication and education

Requirements

• No overnight shifts
• 4 weeknight shifts (7 hours) & 1 weekend shift per week (12 hours)
• Some holidays
• Weekend availability is required

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of veterinary technician experience required
• CVT or credentialed technician preferred but not required

• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays
