About the role
Hill’s Vet Consultation Services Technician partners with vet consultation services consulting Clinicians to provide technical services in nutritional counseling and Hill’s product support to veterinary healthcare professionals in North America and support our internal Hill's employees. This position reinforces the appropriate usage, awareness, and endorsement of Hill's products in dietary management. In addition, this position receives feedback from Hill's customers and communicates that feedback to the company.
Responsibilities
- Respond to inquiries and complaints via phone calls and emails from veterinary professionals and Hill’s employees
- Axess the contact’s needs to determine the first step in answering questions and call deposition. Techs can provide product information and feeding details for non-complicated cases.
- Provide Veterinary Health Care Team members with support on company policies and service procedures
- Action follow-up items to ensure the customer’s needs are met
- Provide information relative to Hill’s product changes, new products’ attributes, and current marketing promotional information.
- Maintain technical knowledge and professional certifications to assure high standards for accurate and consistent responses to internal and external customers.
- Participate in presentations of VCS services and case consults, participate in projects, and collaborate with other departments on engagement activities, which add value to the business while developing career skills and relationships across the organization.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician with an active license
- 2 + years of clinical experience in a veterinarian environment
- Experience in typing while talking to document calls
- Experience with Google Suites, MS Word, and Excel
- Perform elementary nutritional arithmetic such as calculations of water and energy requirements and food requirements based on dietary caloric density.

- Bachelors Degree
- Excellent Communication and writing skills
- Strong relationship building and teamwork skills
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $52,800.00 - $72,000.00 USD
Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
