About the Role
The Electronics Verification Engineer is responsible for validating and qualifying electronic hardware from prototype through production. On a day-to-day basis, this role involves hands-on board bring-up and bench testing using lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, etc.), executing validation plans against design requirements, troubleshooting circuit-level failures, performing PCB rework, and capturing/analyzing test data. The engineer writes and maintains test procedures, documents results in clear lab reports, tracks issues to resolution with cross-functional teams, and supports NPI milestones (EVT/DVT/PVT). This is a lab-heavy role that balances structured test execution with real-time debug and root-cause analysis to ensure hardware meets performance, reliability, and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Bring up prototypes and debug issues to ensure specifications are met
- Perform hands-on board bring-up and bench testing using lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, etc.)
- Execute validation plans against design requirements and troubleshoot circuit-level failures
- Perform PCB rework and capture/analyze test data
- Write and maintain test procedures and document results in clear lab reports
- Track issues to resolution with cross-functional teams
- Support NPI milestones (EVT/DVT/PVT)
Requirements
- 2+ years' experience in electronics test, validation, or hardware quality engineering (or equivalent) shipping products to consumers
- Hands-on rework skills (soldering, component replacement)
- Proficient with lab instrumentation: oscilloscope, DMM, function generator, power supplies, electronic loads, LCR meter, and protocol/debug tools
- Knowledge of best practices in testing, verification, and data analysis
Qualifications
- Familiarity with board design, reliability tests, and product development cycles
- Experience with NPI phases (EVT/DVT/PVT), fixture design, and design-for-test concepts
- Use of LLM-based tools to expedite processes
Pay
The salary for this position is between $180,880 - $230,880 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
