About the role

Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater in Virginia Beach is seeking a Zero Waste Captain to enhance sustainability efforts. This role involves assisting in post-show sorting, engaging band members, and promoting sustainability programs.

Responsibilities

• Aid in the post-show sorting of recycling, composting, and landfill materials
• Act as an ambassador to band members to support their sustainability goals
• Participate in employee engagement programs like water bottle refill punch cards and giveaways
• Encourage fan participation in sustainability initiatives through activities or education
• Attend Zero Waste Captain training sessions

Qualifications

• 90% of time spent walking, bending, reaching, stooping, lifting up to 50 lbs
• Dedication to making a real impact on sustainability
• Experience in events or zero waste events is preferred
• Positive attitude and creative problem-solving skills
• Strong teamwork and execution abilities
