About the role
The White River Amphitheatre is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to help achieve zero waste status. These seasonal, part-time positions are crucial for sorting and educating others on sustainability practices.
Responsibilities
- Aid in the post-show sorting process of recycling, composting, and landfill materials.
- Act as an ambassador to educate crew members on sustainability goals.
- Work flexible hours, including show days and non-show days, to ensure proper waste sorting and diversion.
- Engage fans through various sustainability programs and activities.
- Maintain a clean sorting area and assist with post-show pick-ups.
- Partner with other departments to close the venue after each event.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Show days involve significant physical labor, including walking, bending, reaching, stooping, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong time management skills.
- Dedication to contributing to a sustainable environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Qualifications
- Experience in events or zero-waste initiatives is a plus.
- Positive attitude and creative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well with diverse teams.
Benefits
