About the role

US Concerts is seeking a Security Officer to guard, patrol, and monitor venue premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules. This role may involve operating metal detector equipment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and security of patrons, employees, and assets.
• Conduct regular patrols of the building.
• Respond to all security and safety-related calls in a timely manner.
• Maintain exemplary conduct and appearance while on duty.
• Comply with department performance, conduct, and attendance standards.
• Perform varied duties efficiently, adapting to changing tasks without loss of composure.
• Follow legal and ethical instructions from Security Supervisors and the Manager of Security.
• Adhere to Security department policies and procedures.
• Investigate and compile accurate incident reports.
• Complete assigned tasks within guidelines and deadlines set by supervisors.
• Interact courteously and professionally with patrons, vendors, and employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current valid CA Guard card or security license.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Understanding of the rule of law and relevant penal codes.
• Ability to represent the Security Department professionally.
• Ability to perform effectively in crises and work under pressure without loss of composure.
• Strong memory and ability to quickly retrieve relevant information.
• Ability to interact calmly with angry or emotional patrons and employees during high-stress situations.
• Physical ability to walk, stand, lift at least 45 lbs., reach, pull, push, grasp, and drag.

Pay

Expected compensation for this position is $20.25 USD - $23.00 USD hourly, based on market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
