About the role

Mii amo is a fast-paced, collaborative, and inclusive environment where we create and deliver personalized extraordinary experiences for guests and team members. Enjoy one of the best views while working in a role that involves greeting, registering, and seating guests on the pool deck, answering telephone calls, and taking reservations professionally. This position may also involve occasional back serving, such as refilling water, and can receive spa gratuities after the probationary period.

Responsibilities

• Arrive at scheduled start time in appropriate, neat, and pressed uniform.
• Collect and set up necessary equipment to perform job duties.
• Create floor plans.
• Complete all opening and closing side work duties.
• Seat and escort guests on the pool deck.
• Make reservations for guests in a proficient and professional manner.
• Know basic items on all menus and beverage lists.
• Keep workstation clean at all times.
• Read all memos and operate OpenTable proficiently.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude toward guests and co-workers.
• Report to the Restaurant Manager before ending work shift.
• Act as an ambassador of Mii amo and Enchantment by speaking positively of the Resorts at all times.
• Foster a work environment of teamwork and mutual service by assisting co-workers and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Know the resort layout and work efficiently as part of a team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to work well with or without direct supervision.
• Must be neat and well-groomed at all times.
• Flexible, self-motivated, positive, and maintain a professional attitude toward guests, co-workers, and management.
• Must maintain current food handler’s certification.
• Prior host experience desired.
• English skills necessary to communicate with guests.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Computer skills are helpful.

Physical Requirements

• Lifting and carrying up to 45 lbs (50% of the time).
• Walking (10% of the time).
• Bending and lifting (40% of the time).
• Standing for extended periods.
• Hearing and manual dexterity.
• Distance vision of 1-3 feet.
• Use of cleaning solutions.
