Description Summary
We are looking for creative problem solvers who have strong entrepreneurial instincts to help us identify new sources of growth for Huntington. The Venture Strategist will be a key member of the Huntington Innovation Team, responsible for identifying and framing growth opportunities.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Research and evaluate external information and intelligence including but not limited to: Innovation trends, technology companies, strategic partners, fintech and new business models.
- Identify key market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging consumer preferences.
- Conduct market assessments, evaluate competitive positioning, market share, and growth opportunities to sharpen assumptions, inform value propositions, and translate early insights into new venture concepts.
- Support the development of business cases (e.g., financial models, market size etc.) and assess feasibility, viability, desirability and strategic fit of new initiatives.
- Prepare presentations for senior leadership on the research and recommendations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- At least 7+ years of business experience in the Financial Services and/or corporate strategy, product management or management consulting experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or finance field.
Preferred Qualifications
- A curious problem solver who has the ability to bring big ideas to life.
- You’re creative and scrappy but can navigate a large organization with ease.
- MBA preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information and translate it into actionable insights.
- Solid business acumen ensuring market insights are relevant and practical.
- Prior experience in market segmentation including sizing, pricing, competitive landscape, channel analysis and VOC (voice of customer).
- Readiness to roll-up-your sleeves.
- Strong analytical and problems solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite; advanced skills in excel and PowerPoint.
