Vendor Performance Management Lead
for section headings. Use - for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. Use
for prose.
We must include sections only when posting has real specific content. So we need sections: About the role? The description starts with "Description The Role". Could treat "About the role" as heading? The instruction: use
for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). So we can have sections: About the role (maybe summarizing the four parts), Responsibilities (govern, analyze, advise, automate), Requirements (Essential and Desirable), Qualifications? Actually Qualifications is similar to Requirements; but we can combine. The instruction says prefer few substantive sections over many thin ones. So we could have: About the role (summary), Responsibilities (govern, analyze, advise, automate), Requirements (Essential & Desirable), What Success Looks Like (maybe as part of responsibilities?), Compensation and Benefits (Pay and Benefits). Also maybe Schedule (core business hours). So include Schedule section for core business hours.
We must not include boilerplate like EEO, visa sponsorship note, etc. Remove those. Also remove "Note: Employment-based non-immigrant visa sponsorship..." etc. Also remove "This position will remain posted..." etc. Also remove "EOE, including disability/vets". Also remove "Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance..." etc.
We must preserve all substantive information. So we need to keep details about governance, analysis, advising, automating, core business hours, qualifications (essential and desirable), what success looks like, compensation (base salary range, short-term incentive), benefits (list). Also note "Compensation And Benefits Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included..." we can keep that as prose maybe.
We need to format lists: For responsibilities we can list each part with subpoints? The instruction: Use - for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. So we can create a list for responsibilities (govern, analyze, advise, automate) each as
- . Inside each we can have prose describing details. Could also nest lists? Probably okay to have
- containing paragraphs.
For requirements essential and desirable: we can have two lists under Requirements section: Essential and Desirable headings maybe as
? But only allowed for section headings. Could use inside for subheadings. But maybe we can make two separate sections: Requirements (Essential) and Desirable Skills? However instruction says prefer few substantive sections. Could combine essential and desirable into one Requirements section with two
lists preceded by indicating essential and desirable.
Benefits: we have a long list; we can make a
- for each benefit item.
Pay: we have base salary range and short-term incentive bonus. Could be a

About the role
The role encompasses four parts: governing a small set of strategic suppliers, owning data‑led analysis of the technology portfolio, turning that insight into commercial strategy, and automating processes wherever possible.
Responsibilities
- Govern: Run the supplier governance rhythm for a small portfolio (2‑5) of strategic technology suppliers – own the calendar, chair meetings, set agenda, maintain action log. Establish Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) where they do not exist and raise the standard where they do: right agenda, right people, valuable pack, actions that close. Partner with vendors to produce meeting packs (KPI/SLA performance, spend, commitments, open risks/issues, progress against prior actions). Support Business Supplier Owners in meeting obligations under the Supplier Risk Management framework (service review documentation, action/issue tracking, audit‑ready evidence).
- Analyze: Partner with Software Asset Management to analyze technology tooling, licensing and consumption data to show usage, cost, and value loss through duplication, low adoption, overprovisioning or idle capacity. Build forward‑looking analysis for renewals and commercial events using usage, demand, contract and pricing data to test requirements, expose options and improve negotiating position. Identify rightsizing, consolidation and consumption‑optimization opportunities across cloud, software and other technology services and quantify financial/operational impact. Maintain trusted analytical models and reference data, document assumptions/caveats, investigate drivers behind movements.
- Advise: Surface consolidation opportunities, duplication and concentration risk and turn them into actionable recommendations for leadership. Support balance‑of‑trade analysis and the technology procurement deals calendar so renewals are anticipated. Provide analysis behind negotiations, benchmarking and business cases, working alongside Procurement, Supplier Risk Management and Finance.
- Automate: Apply AI to Vendor Performance Management to automate data processing, dashboards and context collection. Extend and maintain data pipelines for smooth, reliable monthly reporting. Build self‑service reporting for stakeholders and automate repeated manual work in supplier reporting and governance.
Requirements
Essential
- Typically 5+ years in vendor or supplier management, third‑party/contractor governance, or a commercial and analytical role within a technology function.
- Strong understanding of technology, terminology and concepts.
- Experience chairing supplier governance meetings (service reviews, QBRs or equivalent) and producing materials that drive actions to closure with senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical ability with large, imperfect commercial datasets – advanced Excel and patience to reconcile data that does not tie.
- Commercial judgment – ability to make decisions where there is no single right answer and defend them.
- Working understanding of supplier risk and governance frameworks, contract lifecycle, and practical mechanics of renewals and business reviews.
- Genuine breadth – able to move between chairing a review, building a data model and drafting a leadership paper in the same week.
- Clear written and verbal communication, including presenting performance and risk to senior stakeholders.
- Organised and self‑directed – able to hold a governance calendar and reporting cycle to date without being chased.
Desirable
- Experience with Claude Cowork, M365 Cowork or similar for data analysis, scripting.
- Comfort leveraging Python for data processing and automation.
- Power BI or similar – data modelling and report building, not just consuming dashboards.
- Experience with cloud or major software suppliers and familiarity with cloud commercial constructs (enterprise agreements, consumption commitments, reservations).
- Exposure to third‑party or supplier risk frameworks and procurement platforms such as Ariba.
- Experience with supplier benchmarking or balance‑of‑trade analysis.
What Success Looks Like
- A predictable governance calendar for your suppliers, with actions closed rather than carried forward.
- QBRs established for each supplier in scope, with a pack that both WTW and the supplier take seriously.
- The monthly and quarterly KPI set delivered on time, with movements explained rather than merely noted.
Schedule
Core business hours for this role are centered around Eastern time.
Pay
The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $130,000.00‑$140,000.00 USD annually. This role is also eligible for an annual short‑term incentive bonus.
Benefits
- Health and Welfare Benefits: Mental health/emotional wellbeing (including Employee Assistance Program), medical (including prescription drug coverage and fertility benefits), dental, vision, Health Savings Account, Commuter Accounts, Health Care and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, company‑paid life insurance, supplemental life insurance, AD&D, group accident, group critical illness, group legal, identity theft protection, wellbeing program, adoption assistance, surrogacy assistance, auto/home insurance, pet insurance and other work/life resources.
- Leave Benefits: Paid holidays, annual paid time off (includes state/local paid leave where required), company‑paid disability (short‑term and long‑term disability), other leaves (e.g., bereavement, FMLA, ADA, jury duty, military leave, and Parental and Adoption Leave), Paid Time Off (only included for Washington roles).
- Retirement Benefits: Qualified contributory pension plan (if eligible) and 401(k) plan with annual nonelective company contribution. Non‑qualified retirement plans available to senior level colleagues who satisfy the plans’ eligibility requirements.
We must ensure no boilerplate like "Note: Employment-based non-immigrant visa sponsorship..." removed. Also removed "Compensation And Benefits Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included..." we kept a brief version but maybe we should keep the sentence? The instruction: preserve ALL substantive information; do NOT invent or summarize away detail. The sentence about being included per pay transparency legislation is substantive? It's a note about why compensation is included. Could be considered boilerplate but it's part of the posting. However it's not essential to the role; but it's still part of the posting. The instruction says remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions. That sentence is legal/compliance about pay transparency; might be considered legal boilerplate. Safer to remove it. We already omitted it. We kept the base salary range and short-term incentive. That's substantive.
We also removed "Company Benefits WTW provides a competitive benefit package which includes the following (eligibility requirements apply):" we kept the list but maybe we should keep the introductory sentence? It's somewhat boilerplate but also substantive. Could keep as a before the list. But we can keep as is.
We need to ensure we didn't miss any substantive info: The description also mentions "Core business hours for this role are centered around Eastern time." we have that.
We also have "Compensation And Benefits Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation." We removed; maybe we should keep a short note? But it's legal. I'd remove.
We also have "Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only)." That's also substantive about salary variation. Should we keep? It's about compensation details. Might be considered substantive. The instruction says preserve ALL substantive information; do NOT invent or summarize away detail. So we should keep that sentence. It's not boilerplate; it's about compensation. So we should add a
under Pay section about salary variation.
Also we have "Compensation The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $130,000.00-$140,000.00 USD annually." Already captured.
Also "This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus." captured.
Also "Company Benefits WTW provides a competitive benefit package which includes the following (eligibility requirements apply):" we could
