Vendor Manager, Protein, Worldwide Grocery Category Management (WWGCM)
About the role
We're looking for a talented Protein Vendor Manager (VM) to manage vendor relationships across all Amazon banners and set the strategic direction for their vendors. The ideal candidate possesses experience in buying, marketing, and/or finance with a track record of successful relationship management, strong analytical acumen, and experience generating and managing data. This role operates in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment, requiring flexibility, detail-orientation, and comfort working with multiple teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Drive strategic negotiations with vendors and represent Amazon when meeting with vendor partners and their leadership.
- Develop long-term strategies and significantly influence cross-category plans to deliver on Amazon's goals and objectives while obsessing over customers.
- Work cross-functionally, both within Amazon and with assigned vendors.
- Create opportunities for growth, customer acquisition, and brand-building.
- Audit metrics regularly, determine and prioritize business opportunities, identify risks, and make recommendations to deliver results.
- Identify industry trends and develop innovative marketing and merchandising initiatives to support growth.
Requirements
- 1+ years of account management, project or program management, or buying experience.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience using Excel and other business analytic tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in online retail.
- Experience using analytical tools such as Google Analytics, SQL, or HTML.
- Experience managing external vendors, distributors, partners, or learning providers.
Pay
- USA, NY, New York: $66,300.00 - $103,400.00 USD annually
- USA, VA, Arlington: $53,700.00 - $94,000.00 USD annually
- USA, WA, Seattle: $80,200.00 - $94,000.00 USD annually
Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
