About the role
Woot.com is seeking a bright, enthusiastic, and hard-working candidate to join the vendor management team. In this role, you will work directly with vendors, internal stakeholders, and Amazon to develop a category of business, acting as a liaison and executing a joint business plan. The Retail Vendor Manager II position offers an introduction to online retail and a broad training ground for future success. You will identify selection gaps important to customers, develop relationships with suppliers, and manage these suppliers to ensure successful launches and ongoing growth.
Responsibilities
- Support and execute category sourcing plans aligned to the merchandising strategy, working with existing and new vendors across assigned segments.
- Lead vendor negotiations with minimal guidance, applying strategic levers to manage cost and payment terms.
- Communicate strategic cost changes for pricing and margin adjustments to the leadership team, managing market-driven cost variability with limited oversight.
- Partner with vendors to schedule and execute daily deals and flash promotions, adjusting timing based on supply conditions, seasonal constraints, or market pricing.
- Own day-to-day relationship management across assigned subcategories, ensuring vendor compliance with shipping standards, customer-facing content, imagery expectations, and inventory allocations.
- Support vendor onboarding with guidance from senior team members.
- Serve as a support point of contact for assigned vendors and cross-functional partners, including Marketing, Inventory & Finance, and Accounting.
- Coordinate communication on cost, supply, sustainability compliance, and innovation with growing independence.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Excel and data analysis.
- Excellent presentation, organization, and account management skills.
- Experience using data to influence business decisions.
