Vendor Managed Inventory Coordinator

Responsibilities

  • Ensures the accuracy of shipments to the customer.
  • Affixes bar code labels to products and scans them at the customer site to generate customer orders.
  • Maintains awareness of min/max, reorder point/quantity, and reports observations back to management.
  • Assists in the annual inventory (cycle) counts on consigned goods.
  • Presents information and responds to questions from clients, customers, and managers.
  • Performs other duties as requested.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant warehouse, inventory counting, or delivery experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred (not required).
  • Willingness to learn and work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature.
  • Must be a self-starter with the willingness to work with supervision.
  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Demonstrated ability to get the job done correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Possess a proactive and positive team approach to problem resolution.
  • Must have the ability to establish strong working relationships with customers, co-workers, and management.
  • Willing to gain knowledge of company products.
  • Ability to represent the company in a professional manner, projecting a Winning Team approach to customer service.

Skills Required

  • Computer skills required.
  • This position will largely focus on making orders, creating requisitions, and purchase orders in both the Vallen and client databases.
  • Punctual, reliable, and dependable.
  • Customer service skills required.
