Position Overview

The Vendor Operations Liaison serves as the primary point of contact for third-party Marine Operating Centers (MOCs) supporting outsourced service operations. This role is responsible for managing vendor relationships across an assigned region, ensuring service quality, operational efficiency, and financial accuracy.

Essential Functions

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for third-party Marine Operating Centers (MOCs) within an assigned region
  • Support vendor relationship management by maintaining strong, professional working relationships that drive service performance and responsiveness
  • Monitor and report on vendor performance, including service quality, turnaround times, and operational effectiveness, escalating trends and concerns to leadership
  • Hold vendors accountable to agreed service levels by proactively addressing performance gaps and pushing back when expectations are not met
  • Review, validate, challenge discrepancies, and approve vendor invoices to ensure accuracy and alignment with contracted services
  • Resolve routine operational and vendor-related issues independently, escalating complex or high-impact issues as needed
  • Cook up fleet boat transportation to and from vendor service locations to support maintenance and operational readiness
  • Conduct site visits to club locations and vendor facilities to assess operations, address issues in real time where appropriate, and strengthen vendor engagement
  • Exercise day-to-day decision-making authority for repairs and operational needs in accordance with company guidelines
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align vendor services with business and customer needs
  • Track and communicate vendor performance metrics, cost trends, and service outcomes to leadership
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities to enhance vendor operations, reduce costs, and improve service delivery
  • Provide high-level customer service to both internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless and efficient operations

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in vendor management, operations coordination, or supply chain support
  • Strong relationship management and customer service skills with the ability to build trust and influence external partners
  • Experience reviewing invoices, billing, or financial documentation with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with ability to independently resolve routine issues
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Able to analyze vendor performance and communicate findings to leadership
  • Valid driver’s license with experience trailering boats
  • Mechanical or marine systems knowledge (technical coursework or equivalent experience preferred)
  • Familiarity with marine safety equipment and dockside procedures
  • Able to work independently and adapt to seasonal demands
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with dealerships, marinas, or marine service environments
  • Familiarity with fleet operations or boat maintenance coordination
  • Experience in contract management or vendor performance evaluation
  • Experience working in multi-location or regional operations environments

Working Conditions

  • Work is performed in both office and field environments, including marina and dockside locations
  • Frequent travel may be required to visit club locations and third-party vendor sites
  • Exposure to outdoor weather conditions including heat, humidity, rain, and wind
  • May require standing, walking, bending, and occasionally lifting up to 25 lbs
  • Requires ability to safely navigate docks, board boats, and work around water
  • Use of standard office equipment including computers and mobile devices
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and electronically
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required when visiting vendor service facilities

Travel Requirements

  • Travel regionally to support vendor sites and club locations as needed

Hiring Range

The hiring range for this position is $60,250 to $66,500 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary based on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
