Vehicle Test Engineer - New Grad (2027)

We are an in-office company, expecting full-time employees to primarily work from their Applied Intuition office 5 days a week. Flexibility is recognized, allowing occasional remote work or adjusted schedules to accommodate personal commitments. This expectation does not apply to contractor positions.
About the Role
As a Vehicle Test Engineer, you will be a trusted testing expert responsible for daily testing activities for our autonomous vehicle programs. You will execute test plans, support testing functions, and report outcomes to provide crucial information for our software development teams. You will collaborate closely with software engineers and operations teams to coordinate and execute testing for AV and ADAS projects.
Responsibilities
- Create and execute test plans on AV & ADAS development vehicles based on requirements
- Coordinate and improve testing procedures together with software engineers and operations teams
- Provide detailed notes and formal reports of testing activities and results
- Work with Vehicle Operators to conduct testing professionally and efficiently
- Be a safety champion for our vehicle testing programs
Requirements
- BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, graduating by December 2026 or Summer 2027
- Experience creating and executing test plans for hardware or software systems
- Passion for automotive technology
- Demonstrated detail-oriented approach
- Collaborative mindset and deep interest in understanding the functionality of autonomy software
Nice to Have
- Internship, research, or project experience with autonomous vehicles, ADAS, or other automotive systems
- Experience with verification & validation (V&V), test engineering, or developing and executing test plans

Pay
Compensation range: $90,000 – $115,000
