Job Description

Under direct supervision, develops large scale projects such as highways, tunnels, mass transit and aviation engineering designs of basic complexity to meet client project requirements.

• Reviews draft designs for compliance with federal, state and local regulations
• Ensures that firm policies and practices are followed on all designs
• Performs site reviews and studies, as needed, to ensure designs are aligned with location specifications
• Updates design requirements as necessary
• Inspects new construction and existing transportation structures as necessary
• Contributes to firm's TKM by developing white papers and technical design documentation of new or special case designs, studies, etc.
• Submits technical papers and designs for publishing to technical journals
• May create or work with a team to create a poster or other presentation material for a conference
• Performs other duties as required

Skills & Abilities

• Basic knowledge of computer assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices
• Basic knowledge of engineer principles of design
• Knowledge of Microsoft business software (Excel, Word, etc.)
• Good verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Transportation, or Structural Engineering or related discipline
• 0 years of experience
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required; frequency is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands

Pay

Pay range: $63,835.00 – $105,310.00
