Vehicle Test Driver - Maryland

About the role

The Driver Operator will gather data to customer specifications across North America and document observations through our Data Acquisition system. This role involves driving various routes and terrains while ensuring accurate data retrieval and safe vehicle operation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out driving services on vehicles in line with customer specifications.
• Drive and operate vehicles across predefined routes through various terrain and weather conditions.
• Perform pre-drive activities, including vehicle inspection before and after shifts.
• Manage data acquisition systems to ensure accurate data retrieval.
• Drive vehicles safely and in compliance with traffic regulations.
• Follow instructions provided by the project manager.
• Perform daily reporting and maintain documentation with confidentiality.
• Support data acquisition and implement proper tagging techniques to document objects, obstacles, and anomalies.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

• High School diploma.
• 5 years of licensed driving experience.
• Current Driver’s License with a clean driving record for a minimum of 3 years.
• Experience working with ADAS features highly preferred.
• Must be physically able to work in an outdoor environment, lift up to 50 pounds, and drive passenger vehicles up to 8 hours a day.
• Flexible schedule with availability for extended hours, weekends, and 1-2 weeks of travel at a time.
• Must meet all workplace health and safety requirements.

Schedule

• Monday to Sunday.
• Morning shift: 6:00 am - 3:00 pm.
• Second shift: 2:30 pm - 11:30 pm.

This project is expected to last 4-5 months with potential consecutive projects thereafter.
