Vehicle Test Driver

About the role

The Driver Operator will gather data to customer specifications across North America and document observations through our Data Acquisition system. This role involves driving and operating vehicles on predefined routes through various terrain and weather conditions, with flexibility to be on the road for 1-2 weeks at a time. The project is expected to last 4-5 months, with potential for consecutive projects thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Carry out driving services on vehicles in line with customer specifications.
• Drive and operate vehicles across predefined routes through various terrain and weather conditions.
• Perform pre-drive activities, including vehicle inspection before and after shifts.
• Manage data acquisition systems to ensure accurate data retrieval.
• Drive vehicles safely and in compliance with traffic regulations.
• Follow instructions provided by the project manager.
• Perform daily reporting activities as required by the program manager.
• Maintain all documentation with utmost confidentiality.
• Support data acquisition and implement proper tagging techniques to document objects, obstacles, and anomalies.
• Perform other related duties as required to meet ongoing company needs.

Requirements

• High School diploma.
• 5 years of licensed driving experience.
• Current Driver’s License with a clean driving record for a minimum of 3 years.
• Experience working with ADAS features highly preferred.
• Physically able to support test preparation and execution in an outdoor environment.
• Flexible schedule with availability to work extended hours and weekends.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to drive passenger vehicles up to 8 hours a day.
• Meet all workplace health and safety requirements and practices.

Schedule

Monday to Sunday, with flexibility to be on the road for 1-2 weeks at a time.
