Vehicle Technician
About the role
HireArt is assisting an autonomous ride-hailing company in hiring an engineering-focused Vehicle Technician to support the readiness of their fleet vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and fleet reworks
- Contribute to the operations of the workshop
- Support scheduled/preventative maintenance and services
- Diagnose and coordinate repair processes
- Develop diagnostic test plans
- Maintain detailed service records and document quality field reports
- Ensure shop facilities are organized and tools/workspaces are in excellent condition
- Assist with parts inventory, storage, and organization
- Deliver a high-quality service experience for internal teams and stakeholders
- Travel locally as needed to support fleet operations
Requirements
Ops Questions: Describe your experience as an automotive technician. What types of vehicles or systems have you worked on? Share an example of a time you diagnosed a complex vehicle issue. How did you identify the problem, and what steps did you take to fix it? How do you manage repairs from initial diagnosis through completion? Can you share an example of coordinating a repair process? What experience do you have with diagnostic tools, wiring diagrams, CAN systems, or soldering? How have you used these in your work? Describe a time you worked with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineers, shop leads). How did you ensure clear communication and successful outcomes?
This role requires managing multiple vehicles and tasks in a fast-paced environment. How do you stay organized and maintain quality?
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Able to comply with background check, MVR check, and drug screening requirements
- Able to travel locally and occasionally nationally as needed
Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in automotive maintenance and repair
- Experience with diagnostic tools, wiring diagrams, CAN systems, or soldering
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Experience working with cross-functional teams

46.00 - 50.00 USD Per Hour

- Tue–Sat: 8:00 AM–5:30 PM, 2:00 PM–11:30 PM, or 10:00 PM–7:30 AM
- Wed–Sun: 8:00 AM–5:30 PM, 2:00 PM–11:30 PM, or 10:00 PM–7:30 AM
- Thu–Mon: 8:00 AM–5:30 PM, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, 2:00 PM–11:30 PM, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM, or 10:00 PM–7:30 AM
