Vehicle Operator (UNION)

The Vehicle Operator at Chugach Government Solutions (CGS) supports critical missions as a government contractor. CGS focuses on facility maintenance, IT/technical services, construction, and education. Responsibilities

• Drives assigned vehicles transporting passengers and cargo to various locations within and outside the military installation.
• Operates a variety of vehicle types to include cars, trucks, vans, buses.
• Ride the school bus with children, on days when school is in session, acting as a bus aide.
• Operate radio or similar device for communication purposes.
• Clean vehicles and service them with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.
• Keep accurate records of trips and/or behavior of passengers.
• Assist with the loading and unloading of vehicles.
• Responsible for accomplishing the vehicle operator's inspection documentation.
• Responsible for pre and post trip procedures on all vehicles assigned to operate and required documentation.
• Accurately and immediately report all vehicle discrepancies on vehicles assigned.
• Required to participate in a DOT program.
• Present a professional appearance and be willing to work a flexible schedule.
• While on shift, when dispatched on runs, the assignment cannot be turned down, regardless of seniority.
• All dispatched runs are a required assignment for mission support.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• Possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License Class A or B with “P” and “S” endorsements.
• Possess and maintain a current DOT medical certification.
• Receive refresher training as required.
• Receive and maintain CPR/First aid certification.
• Able to lift/push/pull up to 20 lbs.
• U.S. Citizenship.
