Vehicle Maintenance Tech I or II

ManufacturingFull-time
We need to produce HTML fragment with sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Only include sections that have sections if posting has real specific content. We need to parse the posting. Important Application Submission Information: we need to remove application instructions, cookie/navigation/legal/EEO etc. So we drop the first paragraph about submission deadline and "More than a career..." maybe that's about the role? It's more like marketing. Could be considered "About the role". The posting includes: "More than a career - a chance to make a difference in people's lives. Build an exciting, rewarding career with us – help us make a difference for millions of people every day. Consider joining the Duke Energy team, where you'll find a friendly work environment, opportunities for growth and development, recognition for your work, and competitive pay and benefits." That's generic but could be considered About the role. It's substantive? It's generic but still content. We'll include as About the role. Job Summary: "This position is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, inspections and basic repairs on utility vehicles and industrial equipment. Includes, but is not limited to generators, forklifts, aerial equipment, cranes, amphibious equipment, off- road digging equipment, passenger cars, pickup trucks, SUV’s, medium and heavy trucks, and trailers. Maintenance operations may take place in the garage or at field locations during various work schedules depending on business needs." That's substantive. Could be part of About the role or Responsibilities. We'll treat as About the role. Responsibilities & Duties: long list. We'll put under Responsibilities. Basic/Required Qualifications: includes details about Vehicle Maintenance Technician II, education, CDL, etc. Also includes "Note: This posting is for one open position. Dependent on relative experience, the level to which a candidate is aligned is outlined below." Then details. We'll put under Requirements or Qualifications. The instruction says use headings: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. So we need to map. We have required qualifications (education, experience, CDL). Also desired/preferred qualifications (Electric Utility Fleet Experience, etc). Also skills (communication, interpersonal, decision making, etc). Also working conditions (schedule, physical requirements). Also travel requirements, relocation assistance, union, visa, etc. We need to decide which sections to include. We have schedule: "Work Schedule: Monday through Friday". That's specific. So we can include Schedule section. Pay: Not mentioned explicitly except "competitive pay and benefits" generic. No specific pay. So we should NOT include Pay section because no specific pay. Benefits: The posting mentions "competitive pay and benefits" but no specific benefits listed. Also later: "Relocation Assistance Provided (as applicable)". That's a benefit. Also maybe "friendly work environment, opportunities for growth and development, recognition for your work". Those are benefits but generic. The rule: never create Benefits section unless posting actually states them. It does state "competitive pay and benefits" but not specific. Also "Relocation Assistance Provided (as applicable)" is a specific benefit. So we could include Benefits section with that line. Also maybe "opportunities for growth and development" is a benefit but vague. We'll include Relocation Assistance. Skills: The posting includes "Effective communication (both written and oral) and interpersonal skills", "Demonstrate ability to interact effectively with peers, customers and management", "Demonstrate ability to make sound decisions, exercising good judgement and setting priorities", "Demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal supervision", "Experience with computer equipment, laptops, keyboard, tablets, etc." Those are skills. So we can include Skills section. Requirements: Could be the basic/required qualifications (education, CDL, etc). Qualifications: maybe the desired/preferred qualifications. But we have both. We'll separate: Requirements = basic/required qualifications. Qualifications = desired/preferred qualifications. Now we need to output HTML with

headings and
  • for lists,

for prose. We must not repeat job title as heading. Not include Job ID etc. We must preserve all substantive information; do not invent or summarize away detail. So we need to keep details like specific equipment list, specific responsibilities, specific qualifications, etc. We need to remove boilerplate: "Important Application Submission Information ...", "More than a career - a chance to make a difference..." we keep as About the role? Actually that's marketing but we can keep. We need to remove "Privacy Do Not Sell My Personal Information (CA) Terms of Use Accessibility". Also "Privacy" etc. Also remove "Please note that in order to be considered for this position, you must possess all of the basic/required qualifications." That's maybe part of Requirements but it's generic; we can keep as part of Requirements? It's basically a statement that you must meet basic qualifications. Could be included but it's not adding new info. Might be considered boilerplate. Safer to drop. Also remove "No Represented/Union Position No Visa Sponsored Position No. This is not a Visa Sponsored Position. This role requires the ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future." That's boilerplate; we can drop. Also remove "Travel Requirements 5-15%" maybe keep as Travel? Not a section heading we have; we could include under Responsibilities? Not needed. Could be omitted as not fitting sections. But we must preserve ALL substantive information. Travel requirement is substantive. However we have no section for Travel. Could we include under Responsibilities? Not really. Could we add a separate section? Not allowed headings beyond the list. So we need to fit it somewhere. Perhaps under Responsibilities as a bullet? Or under Schedule? Not appropriate. Could we include under Responsibilities as a bullet: "Travel required 5-15% of time". That seems okay. Relocation Assistance Provided (as applicable) - we can put under Benefits. Onsite Mobility Classification – Work will be performed at a company facility. This position contains a weight restriction of 275 pounds as an essential function of the job. The purpose of this restriction is to ensure that all weight rated equipment is used in an appropriate and safe manner within maximum allowed weight loading - that's a requirement/working condition. Could be under Requirements or maybe under Responsibilities? It's a requirement. We'll put under Requirements as a bullet. Working Conditions: includes many physical requirements. Could be under Requirements or maybe under Responsibilities? It's more like qualifications/requirements. We'll put under Requirements as a list. Schedule: we have "Work Schedule: Monday through Friday". Also earlier: "Maintenance operations may take place in the garage or at field locations during various work schedules depending on business needs." That's somewhat contradictory. We'll include Schedule section with Monday through Friday. Now we need to ensure we don't create sections with filler like "commensurate with experience". Not present. Now craft HTML. Structure:

    About the role

More than a career - a chance to make a difference in people's lives. Build an exciting, rewarding career with us – help us make a difference for millions of people every day. Consider joining the Duke Energy team, where you'll find a friendly work environment, opportunities for growth and development, recognition for your work, and competitive pay and benefits.

Job Summary: This position is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, inspections and basic repairs on utility vehicles and industrial equipment. Includes, but is not limited to generators, forklifts, aerial equipment, cranes, amphibious equipment, off- road digging equipment, passenger cars, pickup trucks, SUV’s, medium and heavy trucks, and trailers. Maintenance operations may take place in the garage or at field locations during various work schedules depending on business needs.

But we should not add unless it's in original? It's okay to keep but not required. Could just keep as prose. Better to keep as two paragraphs: first the marketing, second the job summary. Now Responsibilities:

But note some duplication: we have both "Must successfully obtain and maintain a Class A CDL license within 6 months of hire date." and "Must be able to obtain "CDL Class A" driver's license within a designated (120 days) timeframe." Both are similar but slightly different timeframes (6 months vs 120 days). We should keep both as they are distinct statements. However they may be considered redundant but we must preserve all substantive information. So keep both. Now Qualifications (desired/preferred):
