Responsibilities
- Cover meticulous vehicle inspections to identify, assess, and document the vehicle’s condition, including structural damage, frame condition, previous and substandard paintwork, alignment of vehicle body panels, missing parts, mechanical problems, etc.
- Produce highly accurate condition reports by taking detailed notes with accompanying photographs to ensure a comprehensive assessment of the vehicle.
- May assist with getting vehicles operational, such as inflating tires, filling fuel tanks, and jump-starting vehicles. Notify supervisor if a vehicle is inoperative.
- May be required to locate, start, and move vehicles, if directed, in accordance with auction protocol.
- Utilize training and industry best practices while adhering to management-provided work instructions and/or procedures regarding inspections and associated documentation.
- Consistently provide the highest level of customer service.
- Ensure continuous safety commitment by following all safety procedures and actively participating in all safety activities.
- Maintain a positive attitude and promote teamwork.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of experience in the automotive industry is required.
- Problem-solving aptitude to meet challenges with resourcefulness and innovative approaches.
- Proven success to work independently with minimal supervision while working in a team environment.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license and safe driving record.
- Able to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
- Working knowledge of web-based applications and automotive inspection tools preferred.
- Must be detail-oriented, able to provide exceptional customer service, and be dependable.
Qualifications
- Ability and willingness to work in a variety of weather conditions – position works both indoors and outdoors.
- Ability to bend, squat, stoop, kneel and stand for prolonged periods.
- Occasional exposure to loud noises, chemicals.
- Excellent vision required, including both close and distant vision, ability to detect colors, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Pay
The base pay range for this full-time position is $20.00 - $23.00 . This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments. Your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. In addition, our ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
