Vehicle Inspector

About the role

ADESA, a Carvana owned company, operates over 50 locations across the US. We manage auto auctions, repair/reconditioning, remarketing, and serve as market hubs for distribution. Our inventory includes hundreds of thousands of vehicles from various sources. We're part of an industry known for its fun, fast-paced nature and passion-driven workforce.

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally with customers (dealers or consumers)
• Resolve customer inquiries courteously and report incidents to management
• Inspect vehicles for wear, tear, damage, and mechanical issues
• Upload inspection results and capture data on a mobile device
• Deliver inspection results promptly and accurately
• Maintain equipment and notify management of any issues
• Ensure vehicles are clean and in proper condition
• Complete road tests as required
• Stay updated on technology and product developments
• Identify and report on previous repairs and mechanical issues
• Collaborate with management and sales team on customer needs
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate a vehicle
• Effective reading, writing, and communication skills in English
• One year of automotive experience (repair shop, education, hobby)
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate vehicle equipment/tools
• Ability to enter data on handheld devices
• Ability to identify previous repairs and basic mechanical issues
