Vehicle Delivery Driver
Role Responsibilities
Operate a two-car hauler to deliver vehicles safely and efficiently.
Load, transport, and unload vehicles at designated locations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
Facilitate home delivery transactions, including paperwork and customer handoff.
Provide outstanding customer service, interacting with customers and team members professionally.
Perform condition checks and verify vehicles meet CarMax cosmetic standards before delivery.
Conduct daily equipment inspections to maintain safety and operational excellence.
Maintain accurate logs and documentation in compliance with company requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 21 years of age or older with a valid state-issued driver’s license.
- Class B CDL preferred; additional state-specific endorsements may apply (e.g., Illinois Class C, Indiana “For Hire,” Louisiana Chauffeur’s License, Mississippi Class D Commercial).
- Clean driving record with no more than 6 penalty points in the last three years.
- 1+ year of customer service experience and 1+ year of delivery driving experience or CarMax experience.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs, operate a manual transmission, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Must possess or obtain a DOT Medical Card within 28 days of hire.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with adherence to CarMax policies and safety standards.

Pay
The hourly rate for this position is: $21.60 - $36.80

- Except as otherwise required by state law, CarMax Associates are entitled to the following paid sick, vacation, and holiday time.
- Associates that are considered full-time hourly or commission/incentive eligible:
- To earn up to 48 hours of sick time per year accrued on a per pay period basis and between 80 hours and 200 hours per year of vacation time after a 90 day waiting period depending on years of continuous service with the Company.
- For 8 hours of pay for each of a total of 6 paid scheduled holidays per year plus 1 floating holiday. If such an Associate does work on a scheduled holiday due to business need, they are eligible for Holiday Premium Pay.
- Associates considered full-time salaried are entitled to paid time away with no specified limit as needed for sick, vacation, bereavement, jury duty, holidays, floating holiday, etc. subject to manager approval.
