Job Purpose

The Vehicle Architect is responsible for creating and developing innovative product designs, ensuring that they meet both functional and aesthetic requirements while adhering to safety, quality, and performance standards. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting design analysis, and producing technical drawings and specifications for applicable workcenters.

Responsibilities

  • Create and develop detailed product designs, including specifications, drawings, and 3D models, using design software (e.g., CAD, SolidWorks).
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and product management teams to ensure designs meet requirements for functionality, cost, quality, and manufacturability.
  • Perform vehicle performance and packaging design calculations, simulations, and stress analysis to verify the performance and safety of products.
  • Allocate and manage vehicle system space claim between sub-system design teams.
  • Create and manage vehicle master models and bill of materials.
  • Conduct design reviews and refine product designs based on feedback from stakeholders, ensuring that designs are optimized for production and meet customer needs.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, manuals, and reports, to support product development and manufacturing processes.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and design techniques to continuously improve design processes and product offerings.

Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of product design or mechanical design engineering experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience and knowledge of agricultural tractor design, farming applications, agronomic practices and general farm machinery operation.
  • Experience with CREO, TeamCenter and TeamCenter Visualization Pro.

Pay

The annual salary for this role is USD $86,625.00 - $132,825.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.) For roles open across multiple locations, the salary range indicated refers to the primary location. If a different location is considered, the applicable salary range will be communicated to candidates prior to the first interview.
