About the role

ACRT Pacific, LLC is seeking energetic entry-level professionals for a full-time Vegetation Management Inspector position. This role is located within 50 miles of Placerville, CA and requires a TRAQ Certificate.

Responsibilities

  • Perform circuit patrols in accordance with the annual VM plan and VM patrol standards and processes.
  • Identify required tree work along the existing PG&E rights-of-way; prescribe tree work to be performed; document inspection.
  • Understand the associated scope and ensure inspections meet applicable standards.
  • Notify property owners/agencies when tree work will occur and obtain necessary authorizations.
  • Act as the VM contact for new business and reconstruction work.
  • Perform work verification inspections, verify inspection and tree work completion and quality.
  • Investigate and document tree-related outages and attend outage meetings as requested.
  • Support emergency response as directed by OEC or level one operations.
  • Complete tasks assigned by the supervisor.
  • Support oversight of vegetation projects, including field operations such as tree assessment, trimming, and other work as required.
  • Participate in Contractor safety and tailboard meetings.
  • Represent PG&E as a customer relations representative.
  • Coordinate with contractors, communities, agencies, first responders, and other PG&E workgroups and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Use computers and associated software to enter and process data.
  • Perform emergency response duties in accordance with safety requirements.
  • Maintain direct contact with PG&E division personnel, public agencies, and customers.

Qualifications

  • Must meet the general requirements below: TRAQ Certificate, High school diploma or GED, One (1) year experience as a VMI or equivalent on utility contract.
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: ISA Certified Arborist, 2-year or 4-year college degree in a related field.

  • Ability to work in rugged terrain and inclement weather.
