Vegetation Management Inspector - Union

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with major gas and electric utility systems to inspect rights of ways, identifying vegetation incompatible with state and federal regulations.
• Collect and enter data on handheld devices, follow maps, and use GPS navigation.
• Communicate with landowners regarding necessary work on their properties.
• Assess all terrain, habitat, and environmental conditions.
• Cookordinate with project managers, planners, and vegetation crews.

Qualifications

• Ability to embrace an outdoor, independent work environment.
• Thrive on adaptation, continual learning, training, and attention to detail.
• Possesses knowledge or the capacity to quickly learn local tree species and specific growth rates.
• Able to work and hike in rugged terrain and inclement weather.
• Understands that communication and teamwork are essential to our success.
• Expected to become an International Society of Arboriculture certified arborist within 12 months.
• Able to learn to use range finders and job-specific equipment.
