Responsibilities

• Operates various equipment related to vegetable farming, such as tractors, harvesters, tillage machines, planting equipment, lifts, etc.
• Safely and efficiently maintains daily production goals by performing daily pre-shift inspections and addressing any defects or issues.
• Fills out company worksheets accurately and troubleshoots and addresses equipment malfunctions and operational issues in real-time to minimize downtime.
• Performs general maintenance, repairs, and services machinery as directed by the supervisor.
• Utilizes GPS systems to operate machinery effectively.
• Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
• Provides leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge and skills.

Qualifications

• Valid Drivers' License and driving record meeting Lamb Weston’s standards.
• One to two years of experience safely operating harvester, tractor, etc., highly preferred.
• Basic verbal and communication skills.
• Experience using a GPS equipment navigation system preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, stooping, climbing, twisting, turning, lifting, and reaching.
• Exposure to outdoor environments with varying temperatures, loud noises, excessive heat, cold, wet, slippery conditions, dirt, fumes, smoke, smells, and potential allergies.
• Manual dexterity, overall coordination, and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places.
• Ability to operate work-related equipment.
• Specific vision abilities required, including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Climbing to various heights via stairs or ladders to enter equipment on a regular basis.
